Overnewton Anglican Community College, a premier school in Melbourne’s North-West, is ranked in the top 25% of educational providers in Victoria. A large focus of the school’s curriculum is sport and when it came to building a new multi-sport facility for their students, they chose our team at Tuff Turf.
We were contracted by the school to undertake the complex task of the construction of a new multi-sport court area replacing an existing asphalt court and extending the court to provide more facilities for students.
The construction of the multi-sport synthetic surface involved the removal of the existing asphalt court area, major bulk earthworks and impact rolling of the 1.8m depth of uncontrolled fill on the site, which provided a stable platform for the construction of the new sports facility. Further assurance was given to the sub-base by the installation of the TriAx® Geogrid within the base layers.
The Keilor school chose Tuff Turf’s 19mm MultiCOURT Signature for the superior sports surface that the students will enjoy for many years to come.
The synthetic playing surfaces included:
- Running Track
The project involved the design and construction of the multi-sport facility including, sub-base and base design, drainage, installation of the synthetic sports surface and the supply and installation of sporting accessories.
