Ready for the next crop of Australia’s tennis heroes
Surfaces For World-Class Tennis Courts
Australia provides itself on being a world-class sporting country and our history in tennis is testament to this. Names such as Lew Hoad, Margaret Court, Ken Rosewell, Pat Cash, Yvonne Goolagong, the ’Supermacs’ (Paul McNamee and Peter McNamara), the ‘Woodies’ (Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde), and of course the legendary Rod Laver conjure up incredible memories for our country. More recently, we have seen stars such as Ash Barty take on the world and win.
All of these careers started on a local tennis court, just like the ones Tuff Group have been building successfully since the company’s inception more than 10 years ago. Our focus on quality design and engineering, backed up by our expert construction and installation teams mean that we have the experience and knowledge to help deliver the next crop of Australia’s tennis heroes.
It’s important to understand that Tuff Group has an end-to-end solution, which ensures that we use internal resources for every stage of the concept, design, construction and installation process. The engineering and design team at Tuff Group ensures that both the surface and the underlying base will stand the test of time and not fail. This ensures a long life and quality playing experience for athletes of all levels.
It is critical that the base on which the tennis court surface is built is constructed correctly. This is the single most important part of the project. No matter what the quality of the surface itself, it will fail if the base is not perfectly engineered and prepared. Tuff Group consistently install these surfaces around Australia. We have experience in constructing new facilities but also in re-surfacing existing tennis courts to ensure that the next generation of stars can develop.
Tennis can be played on a range of surfaces including natural turf, artificial turf, acrylic and entrecar. Tuff Group have installed all of these surfaces and can advise on how you too can build your courts to our high standards.
Our artificial grass in produced by the world’s leading manufacturer, CCGrass. CCGrass is one of only three manufacturers globally licensed to deliver surfaces for all the football codes and therefore is best placed to ensure quality surfaces in other sports.
While many courts are grass, Tuff Group installs the leading acrylic surfaces in the world, manufactured by Italian-based Casali. Casali are recognised globally as the experts in developing and supplying materials that work effectively and have a long life in harsh Australian conditions. They are one of the most experienced companies in the world, with an extensive research and development team to deliver leading-edge technology. Tuff Group work closely with Casali to provide feedback and insights that means a constantly improving product.
Tuff Group has constructed and installed facilities with up to 24 tennis courts in one project, but also numerous individual courts in backyards and council-owned environments. The underlying ground, local environment and usage conditions are different for every project, meaning the experience of our 50-person plus team is critical to our success.
While we have a range of experienced staff to deliver your project, the best starting point is National Commercial Manager Travis Knight. Travis has personally designed, installed and overseen hundreds of tennis courts in all types of conditions. Call him now to discuss how your facility can be delivered to your requirements.
