In order to grow from start-up to a 50+ person business (with more than 1,500 commercial jobs under our belt, not that we’re counting…) in the past nine years has meant a lot of hard work. It’s also meant that we’ve had to think outside the square and test new concepts and ideas.
We’ve had to innovate.
Innovation is a core focus within Tuff Group. We have pioneered new ways of working and have invested significantly in technology across the business to ensure that we are constantly improving. We work closely with suppliers to help refine their machinery and products so that we (and others within the industry) can benefit.
Every operational aspect of the business is reviewed consistently and even small improvements can have a big impact. One example? We have recently implemented a new stock management and control system that allows us to track every piece of turf and equipment that moves through the business, ensuring that we can account for stock and materials at all times. This was the result of six months of work, the on-boarding of a new staff member and consistent focus on the outcome, even when it seemed a long way off… It’s taking on jobs like this which end up making a big difference for our clients.
