Talent wins games, teamwork wins championships. That is the philosophy we took to heart when we entered this project to help build an elite facility that suited West Adelaide Soccer Club’s elite athletes.
Working together with Carumag Corporation who handled project management of the overall site, the soccer club, and a civil contractor, the project ran smoothly like a well-oiled machine and was completed within eight weeks, all thanks to great teamwork. Everyone left their egos at the door and dedicated themselves to one goal: delivering a top-notch facility for West Adelaide.
It’s not every day that a project goes so smoothly. In fact, the only challenges we faced during this project was that some of our more “seasoned” guys experienced muscle cramps due to the heat, and discovering a nest filled with 500 redback spiders. Thankfully, our team was used to handling much bigger challenges, especially with veterans like Ryan Wilson who led the final grade works, Garth Andrews who took care of the installation and supported by Daniel Johnstone and Mark Wojcik.
In the end, everyone who took part in the project felt a tremendous amount of pride in the final product. In fact, West Adelaide would often boast that it is the best synthetic facility in the state. And it just might be, as the resulting facility is a top-quality, FIFA-certified pitch that will last through the ages with the help of our Tuff Maintenance team.
